We worked with leading Interior Designers, Chantelle Pretorius and Lidia Mostert from SPS Studio and brought to life four designer looks created with the BETTE Starlet drop-in bath and LIQUIDRed bathroom accessories and tapware, to inspire homeowners and décor enthusiasts to achieve the designer look in their own bathroom, transforming the same space. Each look is unique and can be changed easily with some paint and by adding different decor items.
Inspired by the coast, soft white and grey tones were the main influences of this tranquil bathroom space. Lively greenery and a royal blue velvet arm chair with faux fur were incorporated to add a personal touch.
The next look is inspired by the idea of a space befitting to royalty or a stately home. Using a basic white and light grey palette, splashes of plush black, sophisticated marble tiles and reflective surfaces. Elements of faux fur and a deep velvet cushion were added to soften the look along with natural items for soft furnishings.
This look is inspired by the word: ‘Hygge’ ( pronounced hueguh) which is a Danish word for recognising a feeling that is cosy, and ‘Bohemian’ described as ‘socially unconventional in an artistic way’, which is exactly how this design came about. This look is therefore all about mixing and matching warm colours and textures that evoke a sense of domestic freedom.
Black is Back
Bold, dark and sultry bathrooms have become one of the top vogue looks in this year’s bathroom design trends. Black bathrooms not only create a sense of drama but also evoke an indulgent high-end experience. Nero Marquina marble was used for the bath surround to represent a sense of wealth and acknowledge the dark walls. To offset the dramatically dark backdrop and to soften the space, the designers introduced white elements and polished Chrome bathroom accessories and tapware.
